Donna Jo Massie

Donna Jo Massie lives and works in Canmore, Alberta, Canada. Her art is inspired by her location in the Canadian Rockies and her paintings are based on numerous hiking trips such as her Artist in Residency at the Columbia Icefields.

Donna Jo teaches weekly adult watercolour classes in Canmore, as well as weekend workshops in Alberta and British Columbia.

She is the author of Rocky Mountain Sketchbook–A Step by Step Guide to Watercolour Painting and Drawing in the Mountain Landscape. Readers learn to create beautiful landscape paintings through the instruction and examples of this stunningly produced book, a guide to watercolour painting and drawing in the mountain landscape.

Donna Jo demonstrates for students in a Beginner Watercolour Workshop on DVD. An instructional watercolour video designed for the beginner and intermediate watercolourist and is chalk full of tips and techniques.
